It’s hard to believe, but Memorial Day Weekend is already upon us! After the winter we just had in the northeast, the official kick off to summer couldn’t have gotten here quicker. When you think of Memorial Day Weekend, there’s always a few things that come to mind…the beach, waterfront views, grilling, and probably most importantly just a few days to relax with the family and enjoy yourself. Those of us that opted for a luxury motor home over a beach home (see our blog on why it’s better to have a coach over a shore house), you’re in luck. There are gorgeous beachfront RV parks around the country that have all the makings of putting together an incredible summer holiday weekend.
Check out the Emerald Beach RV Park in Navarre, Florida. This place is directly on the Intracoastal Waterway and has 76 sites that can accommodate nearly any size coach. There are even lots that back up right to the beach, so you’ll never have a shortage of waterfront views and beautiful scenery while staying here. There are tons of activities for the whole family; Emerald Beach has a pool, private white sand beaches, dozens of decks overlooking the water, a gym, a pet walk, kayak rentals, and more. If you happen to be towing a boat with you this year, they even have a place for you to anchor up as well.
If you’ve never taken a trip to the Great Lakes before, now’s the time to do it. Hearthside Grove is a luxury motor coach resort that sits right on the shore of Lake Michigan’s Little Traverse Bay in Petoskey. The grounds at Hearthside are absolutely gorgeous and are designed specifically for housing Class A motor homes. Petoskey offers everything you would expect from a Great Lakes town…sailing, kayaking, swimming, hiking, and of course, several championship golf courses. Each site at Hearthside has a full irrigation system and propane gas hookups, which is perfect because what’s Memorial Day without a barbeque? Don’t believe us on how great this place is? Don’t take our word for it, check out what previous visitors had to say on RV Park Reviews.
It shouldn’t be a surprise that two out of three parks we’re touching on in this post are in Florida…beautiful weather and lots of water, sounds good to us! Bluewater Key located roughly 10 miles from Key West, is a luxury coach haven that sits on it’s own small and private peninsula. Bluewater Key guests are able to fish, swim, and snorkel right off of their own private docks or they can take a 15-minute trip to sit on some of the most perfect beaches in the country. Many of the sites at this palm tree lined resort come equipped with their own tiki huts that are complete with table and chairs for the whole family and overlook the Atlantic Ocean. If you have a small boat, wave runners, or kayaks, request a site with a private dock. Oh, and let’s not forget that in Key West, it’s a perfect 82 degrees nearly every day this time of year.
Check out one of these waterfront motor home resorts this coming holiday weekend and you’re guaranteed to have a great time. Life is just better with a luxury coach, isn’t it?
